Formerly a woodchopper until he was attacked by an enchanted axe, Nick Chopper was tranformed to tin with the help of the tinsmithKu-Klip. After journeying to the Emerald City with Dorothy, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion where he recieved a heart he resides in his Tin Castle as Emperor of the Winkees.

Tin Woodman “lives in the present.” He doesn’t think about his past until Woot reminds him of his past. He has come to be enamored of his tin body and sees it as a great improvement over the old Nick Chopper.
